ABOUT US

We are a small church with a BIG heart!  We love God, all people, and the world.

As United Methodists we are a connectional church, connected in a network of churches and support systems all around the world. We are connected through our commitment to support the church around the world through our missions, ministries, stewardship and what we believe. We believe we are all called to minister to others and to be the hands and feet of Jesus in a world that desperately needs hope. We believe it is a life-long commitment to grow and support one another through our prayers, presence, gifts, service and witness.

MISSION STATEMENT of the UNITED METHODIST CHURCH:

The mission of the Church is to make disciples of Jesus Christ for the transformation of the world. Local churches and extension ministries of the church provide the most significant arenas through which disciple-making occurs.  (United Methodist Book of Discipline, Paragraph 120)

WHAT WE BELIEVE

GOD:

As United Methodists, we believe in the Holy Trinity, one God in three persons:  Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. We believe that through the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus Christ and the grace of God, we receive forgiveness, restoration, and salvation. We believe that God is merciful and gracious, forgiving, and loving. We believe that through the Holy Spirit we are always in the presence of God, being led through this life and into eternal life.

CHURCH:

We believe that the Church is a community of believers brought together as one body made up of unique individuals from all around the world. We believe that every person is a beloved child of God and His ultimate desire is to bring us closer to Himself and one another as part of the one body.

THE BIBLE:

We believe the Bible reveals to us the holy, living, breathing Word of God. The Bible is our primary source for understanding God's will for the world and for each individual life. We believe the Bible helps us to more fully understand how God wants us to live and show love to our neighbors and ourselves. We believe that through individual and group study we can grow in knowledge and closer to God and one another.

GRACE:

We believe what John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist movement, thought and taught about grace. We are rooted in God's grace. God loves and is present with all people by His prevenient grace. God graciously forgives, restores, and receives us through His justifying grace. God continues to grow us into better followers of Jesus Christ through His sanctifying grace.
